October at WFBC – A Month of Ministry & Fellowship

Fall has arrived, and with it comes wonderful opportunities to gather as a church family. October is full of events that help us celebrate, grow, and enjoy time together. Here’s what’s coming up at Winton First Baptist:

Pastor Appreciation Lunch – October 5

October is Pastor Appreciation Month, and we are so grateful for the faithful leadership of Pastor Chris and Pastor Dave. On Sunday, October 5, right after the morning worship service, we’ll enjoy a special fellowship lunch in their honor. This is a wonderful chance to let our pastors know how much they mean to us. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share, and let’s make this a day of encouragement and gratitude!

Watoto Children’s Choir – October 9

We are thrilled to welcome the Watoto Children’s Choir for a powerful evening of music and testimony. Their concert will take place on Thursday, October 9 at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary. The choir is made up of children from Uganda whose lives have been changed through the ministry of Watoto. Their joy, hope, and vibrant worship will inspire your heart—bring your family and friends for this unforgettable night.

Church Trip to Hunter Farms – October 17

Nothing says fall like pumpkins, hayrides, and fellowship! Join us on Thursday, October 17 at Hunter Farms Pumpkin Patch for a church-wide outing. We’ll meet at the gate at 4:00 PM and enjoy an evening of seasonal fun together. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased at the gate. Don’t miss this chance to celebrate autumn with your church family!

Pure Pursuers Co-Op Bowl-a-Thon – October 20

Pure Pursuers Co-Op Bowl-a-Thon – October 20

Support our homeschool ministry, Pure Pursuers Co-Op, at their Bowl-a-Thon on Monday, October 20 at 10:30 AM at Bellevue Bowl in Atwater. The kids will be bowling to raise support for their ministry, and we’d love for the church to come cheer them on. Funds raised will support educational activities and provide scholarships for our co-op families. Your encouragement makes a difference and is a wonderful way to bless our students and families.

Sunday Family Nights & AWANA

Fall is the perfect season to plug into our Sunday Family Nights. Every Sunday at 5:00 PM, the church comes alive with something for everyone:

  • AWANA Clubs for kids to learn Scripture and have fun

  • God Squad Youth for middle and high school students

  • Young Adults Group for college and career-aged adults

  • Adult Classes for encouragement and growth

These evenings are designed for the whole family to be together in God’s house, learning and growing in faith. If you haven’t joined us yet, this is the perfect time to start!

October is filled with opportunities to worship, connect, and enjoy fellowship. We look forward to seeing you at these events and sharing this beautiful fall season together!
