TAKING CARE OF HIS BUSINESS

Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest" (Matthew 9:37-38)

I know you're getting lots of info about the virus crisis, but Outreach doesn't have to stop because we are confined to our homes. When Jesus said that the fields were white to harvest (John 4:35), His next words were to pray the Lord of the harvest. . . (Matthew 9:38).

Our ministry must to focus on daily prayer for those who we would normally be trying to reach face-to-face [with the gospel of Jesus Christ]. Since we can't have group prayer, let's each set aside a time every day to pray for those in our community that we have proposed to contact personally.

I want to thank several of our younger church members who have inquired as to Hortencia's and my needs. She and I are OK, and our housekeeper, as well as Hortencia's daughters, are shopping for us. Im sure there are those in the church family and friends who may be in need. If you know of any cases that you need help with, please let me know.

Historically, Christians have risen to the challenges of plagues and crises, and in so doing have glorified the name of our Savior. I pray that will be the case in this time, and that our group may be a part of the solution, not the problem.

Thank you for your time,

Pastor Joe Powell
