Pastoral Update (3-31-08)

TO: All members of First Baptist Church
RE: Revised Master Plan & Called Business Meeting

Fellow Servants:

The Building Project Steering Committee has requested a called business meeting for

Sunday night, April 6, 6:00 pm in the Sanctuary

to present the revised Master Plan for the church campus. With this letter you should see the revised plan that includes all of the suggested changes that were made in the August meeting, including:

  1. Additional handicapped parking
    1. Four between the proposed Fellowship Hall and Sanctuary.
    2. Four between the proposed Children’s Building and Myrtle Ave.
    3. Four behind the proposed Children’s Building just inside the proposed parking lot.
    4. Four behind the proposed Fellowship Hall just inside the proposed parking lot.
    5. Two additional handicapped parking spaces will remain in the circle drive off of Myrtle Ave.
  2. The proposed parking lot off of Myrtle Ave. is extended to connect with the proposed parking lot off of McConnell Ave.
  3. Restrooms
    1. Restrooms on the proposed Social Hall will have exterior access.
    2. Restrooms will be added to the proposed Adult Building between the proposed Youth Building and the Sanctuary. These will also have exterior access.
  4. Social Hall will have exterior access on all four sides.
  5. Lighting has been included (circled numbers) throughout the proposed parking lots.
  6. The shop building has been moved inside the fenced campus between the proposed Adult Building and proposed Youth Building.
  7. A small pump house (not shown on the map) will be small enough to occupy a single parking space in the proposed back parking lot. It will be shielded by cemented iron pipes.
  8. The fence has been re-positioned connecting the restroom pod on the south end of the proposed Fellowship Hall with the north east corner of the proposed Adult Building

The called business conference will address these revisions and any further suggestions that should be made. Please review the plan carefully and make sure that any suggestions you may have to the revision are carefully thought through.
